• Pump adjustment
No settings are required for the pump, which is
set to 12 bar by the manufacturer. This pres-
sure must be checked and adjusted (if re-
quired) after the burner has been ignited.
The only operation required in this phase is
the application of a pressure gauge on the ap-
posite pump attachment indicated in Appendix
6, page 41.
• Fan gate adjustment
For the first time the burner is fired leave the
factory setting unchanged for both 1st stage
and 2nd stage operation.
In summing up, the adjustments to be execut-
ed prior to the first firing are:
- Adjustment of rod-shutter coupling, in the
case of utilization of area C of the firing rate
of burner model RL 50.
- Selection and installation of the two nozzles.
- Adjustment of combustion head.
The following aspects need not be modified:
- Pump pressure
- Air gate valve adjustment, 1st stage.
- Air gate valve adjustment, 2nd stage.
HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS (A)
NOTE The hydraulic circuit feeding system must
be designed to the indications provided in Ap-
pendix 1, page 31.
The pump is factory set with the by-pass valve
closed by screw 6) (diagram on page 38). It is
therefore necessary to connect both hoses to the
pump, as described below. In the case of a sin-
gle tube installation (B)p.32, it is essential to re-
move screw 6) (by-pass open). In consideration
of these facts:
Remove the plugs from the suction and return
connections of the pump.
Insert the hose connections with the supplied
seals into the connections and screw them
down.
Take care that the hoses are not stretched or
twisted during installation.
Route the hoses through the holes in the plate,
preferably using those on the rh side, fig. (A): un-
screw the screws 1), now divide the insert piece
into its two parts 2) and 3) and remove the thin
diaphragm blocking the two passages 4). Install
the hoses where they cannot be stepped on or
come into contact with hot surfaces of the boiler.
Now connect the other end of the hoses to the
supplied nipples, using two wrenches, one to
hold the nipple steady while using the other one
to turn the rotary union on the hose.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS (B)
Use flexible cables according to regulation EN
60 335-1:
• if in PVC boot, use at least H05 VV-F
• if in rubber boot, use at least H05 RR-F.
All the cables to be connected to the burner
sockets 5)(B) must be routed through the fair-
leads, supplied by the manufacturer for insertion
into the holes in the plate, preferably those on
the left side, after having removed the thin dia-
phragm effectively closing the aperture, as al-
ready explained above.

• Réglage pompe
N'a besoin d'aucun réglage.
La pompe quitte l'usine réglée à 12 bar, pres-
sion à contrôler et éventuellement à modifier
après l'allumage du brûleur.
Pour ce faire appliquer un manomètre sur le
raccord de la pompe indiqué dans l'Appendice
5 p.41.
• Réglage volet ventilateur
Lors d'un premier allumage, conserver le
réglage d'usine effectué par le constructeur
pour les 1re et 2me allures.
Réglages à faire avant le premier allumage:
- Intervention sur le raccordement tige-obtura-
teur, dans le cas d'un fonctionnement dans
la plage C du champ de puissance du brû-
leur RL 50.
- Choix et montage des deux gicleurs.
- Réglage de la tête de combustion.
Les réglages suivants peuvent par contre être
conservés.
- Pression pompe
- Réglage volet ventilateur, 1re allure.
- Réglage volet ventilateur, 2me allure.
RACCORDEMENTS HYDRAULIQUES (A)
NOTE L'installation d'alimentation doit être réal-
isée selon les indications fournies dans l'Appen-
dice 1 p. 31.
La pompe quitte l'usine avec le by-pass fermé
par la vis 6) schéma page 38. Il faut donc rac-
corder les flexibles à la pompe comme décrit ci-
dessous. En cas d'installation monoflexible
(B)p.32, il est indispensable de retirer la vis 6)
(by-pass ouvert). Cette opération effectuée:
Retirer les bouchons des prises de raccorde-
ment d'aspiration et de retour de la pompe.
Visser à leur place les flexibles avec joints de
série.
Lors du montage, ces flexibles ne doivent pas
être soumis à des torsions.
Faire passer les flexibles par les trous de la
plaquette, de préférence ceux de droite, fig. (A):
dévisser les vis 1), ouvrir la plaquette dans les
parties 2)-3) et retirer la fine membrane qui re-
couvre les deux trous 4). Disposer les flexibles
de manière à éviter qu'on puisse les écraser
avec le pied, et que ceux-ci ne soient pas en con-
tact avec des parties chaudes de la chaudière.
Raccorder pour finir l'autre extrémité des flexi-
bles aux nipples de série à l'aide de deux clés:
une sur le raccord tournant du flexible, pour viss-
er, et l'autre sur les nipples, pour supporter l'ef-
fort de réaction.
BRANCHEMENTS ELECTRIQUES (B)
Utiliser câbles flexibles selon norme EN 60 335-1:
• si en gaine PVC, au moins type H05 VV-F
• si en gaine caoutchouc, au moins type H05
RR-F.
Tous les câbles à brancher aux fiches 5)(B) du
brûleur doivent passer par les passe-câbles de
série à insérer dans les trous effectués sur la
plaquette, de préférence les trous de gauche,
après avoir retiré la fine membrane qui les recou-
vre comme indiqué ci-dessus.

De pomp verlaat de fabriek met de by-pass af-
gesloten door schroef 6) schema pag. 38. Het is
dus noodzakelijk de beide flexibels met de pomp
te verbinden, zoals hierna beschreven wordt. In
geval van een installatie van een eenpijpsys-
teem (B)p.32, is het noodzakelijk de schroef 6) te
verwijderen (by-pass open). Dit vooropgesteld:
Verwijder de doppen van de aanzuig- en teru-
gloopleiding van de pomp.
Draai de flexibels met de pakkingen, die bij de
standaarduitrusting geleverd worden, vast.
Bij het monteren van de flexibels moet hierop
geen kracht uitgeoefend worden die verbuiging
tot gevolg heeft.
Laat de flexibels door de gaten van het plaatje
gaan, het liefst van rechts, fig.(A): draai de
schroeven 1) los, open het plaatje bij de delen
2)-3) en haal het dunne membraan, dat de twee
gaten 4) sluit, weg. Plaats de flexibels zodanig
dat er niet op getrapt kan worden of dat ze met
de warme delen van de ketel niet in contact kun-
nen komen.
Verbind, tenslotte, het andere uiteinde van de
flexibels aan de nippels, die bij de standaar-
duitvoering geleverd worden, door de twee sleu-
tels te gebruiken: één op het draaibare
verbindingsstuk van de flexibel, om aan te draa-
ien, en één op de nippels, om de tegengestelde
kracht aan te kunnen.
ELEKTRISCHE AANSLUITINGEN (B)
Gebruik flexibels zoals voorgeschreven in de
norm EN 60 335-1:
• met PVC-omhulsel, min. type H05 VV-F
• met rubberen-omhulsel, min type H05 RR-F.
Alle kabels die met de stekkers 5)(B) van de
brander verbonden moeten worden, moet men
door de wartels trekken die bij de standaarduit-
rusting geleverd worden en in de gaten van het
plaatje aangebracht worden, het liefst van links
af, na het dunne membraan weggehaald te heb-
ben dat hen afsluit, zoals hierboven uitgelegd.

De pomp hoeft niet afgesteld te worden.
Bij het verlaten van de fabriek is de pomp af-
gesteld op 12 bar. Controleer en pas, indien
nodig, deze druk aan na ontsteking van de
brander.
In deze fase, dient u enkel een manometer te
bevestigen op de aansluiting van de pomp. Zie
Appendix 6 blz.41.
Voor de eerste ontsteking dient men de in de
fabriek ingestelde regeling intact te laten, zow-
el voor de eerste als voor de tweede vlam-
gang.
Samengevat zijn de regelingen die aan de
eerste ontsteking vooraf moeten gaan:
- Ingreep in de verbinding stang-smoorklep, in
het geval dat gebied C van het werkingsveld
van RL 50 gebruikt wordt.
- Keuze en montage van de twee verstuivers
- Afstelling branderkop.
Er hoeft niets gewijzigd te worden aan de
vooraf ingestelde waarden van:
- Druk van de pomp.
- Afstelling luchtklep 1ste vlamgang.
- Afstelling luchtklep 2de vlamgang.
