Installing the CNS-3 Shield/Visor
1.
Adjust the shield/visor to fully opened position
(Drawing 4) and insert hook B into the gear (Drawing
5).
2.
Press hook A and C as per Drawing 6 to fix hooks
into the hook rail.
3.
Follow the same procedure to install the other side.
4.
Confirm that the shield/visor hook and gear fit
properly into the shield/visor base.
WARNING
If the hook and gear are not securely fastened in the
shield/visor base, the shield/visor may come loose while
riding and an accident may unexpectedly occur. After
installing the CNS-3 shield/visor, open and close the
shield/visor a few times to confirm that the hook and
gear fit securely. With the shield/visor completely closed,
confirm that the shield/visor tab is clasped by the hook.

Ajustez l'écran en position complètement ouverte
(Schéma 4) et insérez le crochet B dans l'engrenage
(Schéma 5).
2.
Appuyez sur les crochets A et C comme indiqué sur
le Schéma 6 pour fixer les crochets au rail de fixation.
3.
Suivez la même procédure pour installer l'autre côté.
4.
Vérifiez que le crochet et l'engrenage de l'écran
soient bien verrouillés dans la platine de fixation.
ATTENTION
Si le mécanisme de l'écran et l'engrenage ne sont pas
fermement insérés dans la platine de fixation, l'écran
peut se détacher en roulant, ce qui peut être une cause
d'accident. Une fois l'écran CNS-3 remonté, ouvrez et
fermez l'écran à plusieurs reprises, afin de vérifier que le
mécanisme de l'écran et l'engrenage sont correctement
fixés. Une fois l'écran complètement fermé, vérifiez
que l'ergot latéral soit bien maintenu par le crochet de
mâchoire.

Important Notice about Handling the
CNS-3 Shield/Visor
z Dirt and scratches on the shield/visor may obstruct
z
your view while riding and can be very dangerous!
If the CNS-3 shield/visor gets dirty or scratched,
stop using it immediately. Remove the shield/visor
and clean or replace it.
z The CNS-3 shield/visor should be cleaned with a
z
solution of mild, neutral soap and water. Rinse well
with pure water then wipe dry with a soft cloth. Do
not use any of the following cleaning materials:
hot water over 40ºC; salt water; any acidic or
alkali detergent; benzine, thinner, gasoline, or
other organic solvents; glass cleaner; or any
cleaner containing organic solvents. If any
of these cleaners are used, the shield's/visor's
chemical nature may be altered and safety may be
hindered.
z Do not ride with a shield/visor that is fogged.
z
This may obstruct your view and can be very
dangerous. If the CNS-3 shield/visor is fogged,
open the lower air intake to circulate air within the
helmet and remove the fog from the shield/visor.
z Remove the protective film before using the shield/
z
visor for the first time.
z Do not place any sticker or tape in the shield's/
z
visor's field of vision.
WARNING
CNS-3 tinted shield/visor is not for sale or use in
USA. If tinted shield/visor and sun visor are used
together in USA, requirement of light transmission
ratio specified in VESC-8* is not satisfied. Don't use
tinted shield/visor to your helmet in a manner not
satisfying VESC-8*. Otherwise, your vision restricted
by tinted shield/visor may cause an accident and
serious injury or death.

This standard is widely referenced and applied
by the 36 states in USA with motorcyclist eye
protection use law.

Points importants sur le

z Les rayures et salissures sur l'écran peuvent
z
obstruer le champ de vision et rendre l'utilisation du
casque dangereuse ! Si l'écran CNS-3 est sale ou
rayé, arrêtez de l'utiliser immédiatement. Retirez
l'écran et nettoyez-le ou remplacez-le.
z L'écran CNS-3 doit être nettoyé à l'aide d'une
z
solution à base de savon doux et neutre et d'eau.
Rincez soigneusement avec de l'eau propre, puis
essuyez à l'aide d'un chiffon doux. N'utilisez
aucun des produits de nettoyage suivants : eau
chaude à plus de 40ºC, eau salée, détergent
acide ou alcalin, essence, diluant, solvant
organique, produit à vitres, ou tout produit de
nettoyage contenant des solvants organiques.
Si l'un de ces produits nettoyants était utilisé, la
structure chimique de l'écran en serait altérée,
réduisant grandement son niveau de protection.
z Ne roulez pas avec un écran embué. Ceci peut
z
gêner la visibilité et s'avérer très dangereux.
Si l'écran CNS-3 s'embue, ouvrez l'entrée d'air
inférieure afin d'augmenter la circulation d'air frais
et réduire le phénomène de buée.
z Retirez le film extérieur de protection de l'écran
z
avant sa première utilisation.
z N'apposez aucun autocollant ou adhésif à l'intérieur
z
du champ de vision de l'écran.
ATTENTION
L'écran tinté CNS-3 n'est pas en vente et ne peut être
utilisé aux États-Unis. L'utilisation d'un écran teinté
avec un pare-soleil aux États-Unis ne respecte pas
le rapport de transmission lumineuse spécifié dans
la norme VESC-8*. N'utilisez pas d'écran teinté non
conforme avec la norme VESC-8* sur votre casque.
Votre visibilité pourrait alors être obstruée par l'écran
teinté, ce qui pourrait entraîner un accident et des
blessures graves ou la mort.
