Installing the Cheek Pads
Before installing the cheek pads, make sure
that the 3 hooks are positioned properly shown
in the drawing. They may not be hooked if they
are not positioned properly.
Identify a right and a left pad.
Insert the notch (b) into a boss of a cheek pad
bracket (B) at the rear of the helmet (Drawing
12) and slide it toward the back of the helmet.
Then, do frontward and insert the notch (a)
into a boss of a cheek pad bracket (A) as per
Drawing 13. Be sure to slide the plate toward
the back of the helmet when you insert the rear
section (Drawing 12), otherwise the notch (a)
may not fit to the boss.
After the plates are inserted, pass the chinstrap
through the hollow section of the cheek pad
(Drawing 14). Fasten the snaps in 1 to 3 order
by pressing the head of the snaps firmly from
the pad side until they click in place. Press the
corner of the pad as shown in the Drawing 15
and fit the cheek pad plate securely into the
boss of the cheek pad base. Lastly, insert the
chinstrap into the slit of noise isolator as per
Drawing 16. Install the other cheek pad in the
same manner.

Installation des coussinets maxillaires
Avant l'installation des coussinets maxillaires,
a s s u r e z - v o u s q u e l e s 3 c r o c h e t s s o n t
positionnés correctement comme indiqué sur le
schéma. Ils peuvent ne pas être crochetés s'ils
n'ont pas été positionnés correctement.
Identifiez un coussinet gauche et un coussinet
droit.
In s é r e z l ' e n c o c h e ( b ) d a n s u n b o s s a g e
d'applique de coussinet maxillaire (B) à l'arrière
du casque (Schéma 12) et faites-la glisser vers
l'arrière du casque. Ensuite, passez à l'avant
et insérez l'encoche (A) dans un bossage
d'applique de coussinet maxillaire (A) tel
qu'indiqué dans le Schéma 13. Veillez à faire
glisser la plaque vers l'arrière du casque en
insérant la partie arrière (Schéma 12), sinon
l'encoche (a) risque de ne pas être bien en
place dans le bossage.
Une fois que les plaques sont fixées, passez
le jugulaire à travers l'espace du coussinet
maxillaire (Schéma 14). Fixez ensuite les clics
dans l'ordre 1 à 3 en pressant fermement la
partie intérieure du clic depuis le coussinet,
jusqu'à entendre un « clic ». Appuyez sur
le coin du coussinet comme indiqué sur le
Schéma 15, et ajustez la plaque du coussinet
maxillaire fermement dans le bossage de la
base de coussinet maxillaire. Enfin, insérez le
jugulaire dans la fente de l'isolateur de bruit tel
qu'indiqué dans le Schéma 16. Installez l'autre

coussinet maxillaire de la même manière.

Important Notice about Handling
Interior Parts
z When attaching or detaching a hook, you should
z
hold it near the hooked area and treat it carefully.
Insert the hook firmly until you hear it click.
z You can clean the inner parts by hand washing
z
them or by washing them in a washing machine
after placing them in a laundry net. Please treat
them carefully when washing. Use lukewarm water.
Gently squeeze the parts with a dry towel, then
remove them and dry them in the shade. To prevent
damage to the plastic areas of the interior parts, do
not wring them strongly and do not fold or bend the
plastic areas. Take special care if you are using a
washing machine. Do not dry the interior parts with
a
a clothes dryer, as heat can damage the material.
The impact absorbing liner (polystyrene foam
section) should be wet with a soft cloth dipped in
a solution of mild neutral soap and water and then
wiped. Allow time for the impact absorbing liner to
dry in the shade. Do not dry the impact absorbing
liner in the sunlight or use any type of mechanical
dryer, as the impact absorbing liner is extremely
sensitive to heat. If the impact absorbing liner is
exposed to high heat of any kind, contact your
dealer or SHOEI directly for a safety evaluation. To
prevent damage, do not use any of the following
cleaning materials: hot water over 40ºC; salt water;
any acidic or alkali detergent; benzine, thinner,
gasoline, or other organic solvents; glass cleaner;
or any cleaner containing organic solvents.

Notes importantes sur les parties
intérieures
z Lorsque vous attachez ou détachez une pression,
z
manipulez toujours ces attaches près de leur point
de fixation, et maniez les avec précaution. Appuyez
fortement sur la pression jusqu'au « clic ».
z Vous pouvez laver les pièces intérieures à la
z
main ou en machine (dans un filet de protection).
Manipulez-les avec précaution lors du lavage.
Utilisez de l'eau tiède. Pressez légèrement les
pièces humides dans une serviette sèche, puis
laissez les sécher à l'abri de la lumière. Afin
d'éviter tout dommage des parties plastiques
de ces pièces, ne les essorez pas fortement et
ne pliez jamais les parties plastiques. Faîtes
particulièrement attention lors d'un lavage en
machine. Ne séchez pas les parties intérieurs au
séchoir, et n'utilisez aucune source de chaleur, car
ceci endommagerait certaines parties internes. Le
calotin polystyrène peut être nettoyé à l'aide d'un
chiffon humide trempé dans l'eau savonneuse,
et essuyé avec un chiffon sec. Laissez sécher
naturellement le calotin à l'abri de la lumière et de
la chaleur, et n'exposez jamais le calotin à une
quelconque source de chaleur, car le polystyrène
y est très sensible. Si votre calotin polystyrène a
été exposé à une quelconque source de chaleur,
cessez son utilisation et contactez votre revendeur
afin que SHOEI puisse évaluer son niveau de
sécurité. Pour éviter tout dommage, n'utilisez aucun
des produits de nettoyage suivants: eau chaude
de plus de 40°C, eau salée, détergent acide ou
alcalin, essence, diluant, solvant organique, produit
à vitres, ou tout produit de nettoyage contenant
des solvants organiques.
