The default DHCP identifier is CRnnnnnn (nnnnnn is the serial number of the product).
You can change this identifier with the GTNetMng tool or through the WEB interface as
described in part 31.2 and 52.2

ters, use the GTNetMng tool on the CDROM to change the network parameter. Please

2.1.2. Output cards configuration

The default configuration for all the output cards is to deliver UTC time. The time recei-
ved from the NTP server is directly sent to the output.
Each card can be configured to output several local times. This configuration is done
through a WEB browser (see part 32).

1.3. BaSICS

This part contains a description of the basic concepts of the product LEDI Network IN. It
helps you to understand the behavior of the product under various circumstances.
The NTP client software is the very heart of the LEDI Network IN. It performs all the syn-
chronization, the management of the hardware and provides information for the WEB inter-
face and the SNMP protocol.

1.3.1. Synchronization concepts

A/ Clock Correction principles

The objective of the synchronization is to make two clocks indicating the same time. In
the case of NTP based synchronization, the LEDI Network IN clock must indicate the
same time that the NTP server clock.
2/ Some DHCP servers have the ability to copy the DHCP name into the DNS. In this case, you can access the
LEDI Network IN directly by its DHCP name instead of its IP address.
