NOTE
Each MFC has been subjected to the Autotune routine in the factory
during final testing at the operating pressure stated in the calibration
report. For reliable control operation in a system, it is not absolutely
necessary to initiate this function again after commissioning. We
recommend renewed initialization if the operating pressure deviates
by serveral bar from the calibration pressure or if the characteristic
curve of the proportional valve is heavily influenced by a low valve
authority (see Proportional Valve ). The Autotune routine should also
be executed after significant changes in the pressure conditions in
the system.
Safety function
This function can be activated or reset via a binary input or field bus, depending on
the device configuration.
In this operating mode, the device behaves in general as in standard control
operation. However, an externally applied setting is ignored and a defined safety
value is used as the setpoint (on default: 0 %; this can be changed with the PC
software MassFlowCommunicator).
Setpoint profile
This function can be activated or reset via a binary input or field bus, depending on
the device configuration.
In this operating mode, the device behaves in general as in standard control
operation. However, the external setting is ignored and a previously definded
temporal sequence of up to 30 flow rates is used as the setpoint (configuration
with the PC software MassFlowCommunicator).
After completion of the setpoint sequence, the device returns to the previous
operating mode.
Control operation
This function can be activated or reset via a binary input or field bus, depending on
the device configuration.
In this operating mode, the setpoint is used as the starting value for the valve
pulse-duty factor,
e.g.: Setpoint = 10 %
valve pulse-duty factor = 10 %.
