GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
To ensure that the device functions correctly, and will have a long service life,
please comply with the information in these Operating Instructions, as well as
the application conditions and permissible data specified in the data sheets of
the proportional valves used and of the Type 8623 regulator:
When planning the application of the device, and during its operation,
observe the general technical rules!
Work on the device should only be carried out by specialist staff using the
correct tools!
Observe the relevant accident prevention and safety regulations applicable
for electrical equipment throughout the operation, maintenance and repair of
the device!
Always switch off the voltage supply before working on the system!
Take suitable measures to prevent unintentional operation or impermissible
impairment!
If these instructions are ignored, no liability will be accepted from our side,
and the guarantee on the device and on accessories will become invalid!

FUNCTION

The Type 8623 Flow Controller is used in conjunction with proportional valves to
control liquid flows in pipe runs. The compact construction of the device makes
direct installation on the proportional valve possible.
Suitable for valve types: 6022, 6023, 6223, 2832 and 2834
Flow controller with adjustable PI regulation
Measurement of the flow over a flow sensor with a frequency output (flow-
proportional frequency signal)
For flow sensors with frequency output up to a frequency of max. 625 Hz
Direct control of a proportional valve
Calibration
Default set-value for standard 4-20 mA signal
Ratio control
NOTE

Approvals such as Ex, UL, UR, CSA, DVGW etc., will be
indicated on the rating plate, or by a special label.
The Type 8623 Flow Controller can be operated with or without
the Type 8623-B Control Unit.
The Control Unit is used for displays and for programming the
flow controller.
