APPENDIX C: MassFlowCommunicator (PC SOFTWARE)

The PC program MassFlowCommunicator is designed for communication with the
devices from Bürkert's MassFlowController faily. It is used for configuration,
readout and writing of various parameters.
NOTE
ATTENTION!
With the aid of this program, various settings can be made:
• Read-out of device-specific information,
• Changing of configuration of binary inputs and outputs,
• Changing of LED function configuration,
• Activation of various functions and configuration of inputs and outputs.
A detailled description and exact listing of the procedure to be followed on
operating the MassFlowCommunicator software can be taken from the software
documentation.

The program works on the Windows platform and requires a
serial interface (RS 232) for communication with the
MassFlowControllers or MassFlowMeters.
With the types 8710 and 8700, a RS232 adapter with interface
driver is required (see Accessories in Appendix A).
