If not all working loads reach the maximum permitted values, one of these loads may
exceed the normal limit value. This is under the condition that the following additional
conditions are fulfilled:

All force and torque components are limited to 1.4 times the maximum permitted
value.

The forces and torques acting on each flange meet the requirements of the com-
pensation equation.

Influence of material and temperature
The maximum permissible forces and torques apply for the grey cast iron base material
and for an initial temperature value of 20 °C.
For higher temperatures, the values must be corrected as follows depending on the ra-
tio of their modulus of elasticity:
