Transport and storage
To prevent scoring at the bearings and sticking, turn the pump shaft once a week using
a socket wrench (see Fig. 5).
If a longer storage time is required, contact Wilo for preservation measures.
WARNING
Risk of injury due to incorrect transport!
If the pump is transported again at a later date, it must be packaged so that it cannot
be damaged during transport. Use the original packaging for this, or choose equival-
ent packaging.
Damaged transport lugs can break off and cause considerable personal injury. Check
the transport lugs before use for damage and secure fixation.
The pump must be transported using approved lifting gear (hoist, block and tackle,
etc.). The lifting gear must be attached to the transport lugs at the motor flange. (Fig. 6,
shown here: lifting direction with vertical motor shaft).
WARNING
Damaged transport lugs can break off and cause considerable personal
injury.
• Check the transport lugs before use for damage and secure fixation.
NOTICE
To improve balance, the transport lugs can be swivelled/rotated according to the
lifting direction.
To do so, loosen and then retighten the fastening screws!
