7.8.2
Working with separate guide rails for grooves and birthmouths
Various guide rails are available for the machine.
The separately available guide rail J with a length of
3 m (or 1.5 m) is used to guide the machine along
the workpiece surface next to the guide rail. This
parallel guidance requires the adapter pairs L for
the parallel guide fence.
The F-type guide rails K are available in different
lengths. Each of them has a lug on which the
machine can be positioned.
Use the following procedure to work with the
guide rails J:
1.
Mount the adapter pairs L on the parallel guide
fence E at the positions provided for this
purpose on the guide tab 24.
2.
Mount the parallel guide fence E with the
adapter pairs L on one side of the machine.
3.
Secure the guide rail J from the special
accessories on the workpiece you want to
machine.
4.
Engage the machine with the parallel guide
fence and the adapter pairs in the secured
guide rails.
5.
Adjust inclination and depth of the machine.
6.
Move the machine crosswise on the parallel
guide fence bars to the desired working
position.
Take note of the instructions for
adjusting the milling range in chapter 7.7
Working with the parallel guide fence.
7.
Switch on the machine.
8.
Push the machine steadily forward in milling
direction.
