Operation information:
- The Outdoor using of this machine is prohibited.
- In all situations, hold the machine with both hands at the handles provided.
- Ensure that you stand in an unobstructed and non-slip area with adequate lighting.
- Ensure that there is nobody within the danger zone.
- Always pull out the power plug before you change tools, make adjustments, or eliminate malfunctions (this
also includes removing trapped chips).
- Never work on workpieces that are too small or too large for the machine capacity.
- Mount and fasten the tool properly. Use sharp carbide inserts; blunt carbide inserts increase the risk of
kickback. Replace damaged carbide inserts immediately. Secure the inserts such that they cannot come
loose during operation.
- Never clamp the switch.
- Prior to switching on the machine, check to ensure that the tool is tightened and that the chuck key has been
removed.
- Always secure the workpiece against slipping away. Use clamps, for example.
- Hold the machine tight before you switch it on.
- Do not start milling the workpiece before the milling head has reached its full speed.
- Check the workpiece for foreign bodies. Do not mill into metal parts, such as nails.
- During the milling process, never reach underneath the workpiece (risk of injury!) or the guide system.
- During the milling process, always ensure that the connecting cable runs away from the machine towards
the rear.
- Steady feed during the milling process increases the service life of tool and machine.
- Do not remove the machine from the workpiece before the tool has stopped.
- Switch off the machine and allow the tool to stop before you change angle and height settings of the
machine.
- Ensure that the movable guard covers the tool when you put the machine down on the workbench or
on the floor. An unprotected coasting tool moves the machine against the milling direction and can cause
injuries. Be aware of the coasting time of the tool (warning lamp).
- Do not wedge the lower movable guard and do not remove any protective elements. Be aware that the
lower movable guard consists of two parts, the lower guard and the lateral access protection.
- Before each use, ensure that the lower movable guard is closing properly. Do not use the machine if
the lower movable guard cannot move freely and does not close instantly. The lower movable guard
can be bent when the saw drops to the ground. Open the lower movable guard and ensure that it moves
freely and does not touch the tool or any other parts at all milling angles and milling depths.
- Check the function of the spring for the lower movable guard. Have the saw serviced before use if
the lower movable guard and the spring do not function properly. Damaged parts, sticky deposits or
accumulations of chips delay the operation of the lower movable guard.
- Open the lower movable guard only for special milling operations, such as angular milling. Open the
lower movable guard with the pre-feed lever. Release the lever as soon as the tool penetrates the
workpiece. In all the other milling operations, the lower movable guard opens automatically.
