6.7.1 Working with the position indicator
The position indicator shows the right outer edge of the milling cutter. The position indicator is enclosed with
the machine.
Use the following procedure to align the
position indicator:
1. If necessary, adjust the machine inclination to
the required machining angle.
See also chapter 7.6 Adjustment for

inclination work.
2. Loosen the wing screw 6.
You can now adjust the position indicator

D, provided that it is already in the guide.
If it is not, insert the position indicator
into the guide at the tool side.
3. Move the position indicator D to the angle of
the machine inclination.
The angle scaling can be determined

with the scale on the position indicator D
and the edge of the base plate with the
red mark on the tool side of the machine.
The position indicator is aligned.

6.7.2 Working with the lateral guide fence
Using the side guide, you can repeat grooves in the 625 mm (24.6 in.) grid as often as you like. To do this, lock
the side guide in the guide groove of the KSS guiding device. Subsequently, you can hinge the side guide into
the already existing groove to cut the next groove at the same distance.
Use the following procedure to mount the side
guide on the KSS guiding device:
1. Press and hold the safety lever 16 of the side
guide.
2. Insert the side guide slightly inclined from
above into the fold of the guiding device
provided for this purpose.
3. Straighten the side guide in the fold and
release the safety lever 16.
The side guide is installed on the KSS

guiding device.
