General safety instructions for power tools
Be sure to read all tips and regulations. Failure to follow the directions below may result in electric shock,
fire, and/or serious personal injury. Keep all regulations and safety instructions carefully for further use.
As used in the following text, the term "power tool" refers to power tools that are powered by electricity
from the mains (with a power cord) and to power tools that are operated by batteries (without a power
cord).
1. Workplace safety
A. Keep the workstation clean and well-lit. An untidy workplace or an unlit workspace can cause
accidents.
B. Do not operate this power tool in potentially explosive environments containing, for
example, flammable liquids, gases or dust. When a power tool is in operation, sparks are
generated that can cause ignition.
C. When using the appliance, make sure that children and other bystanders are kept at a safe
distance. A distraction can cause you to lose control of the tool.
2. Electrical safety
A. The plug of the power tool must match the socket. Do not alter the plug in any way. Adapter
plugs must not be used for power tools with a protective earthing connection. Unchanged
plugs and matching receptacles reduce the risk of electric shock.
