Turn the spray gun off at the end of each stroke and turn it back on at the beginning of the next.
This prevents the formation of streaks, reduces paint consumption, and also ensures a better-looking
work. (See picture below)
The correct speed of movement of the gun will allow the full,
wet coating to be applied without streaks. Applying each stroke 40%
higher than the previous one will ensure that the right amount of paint
is
applied.
Spraying in a uniform motion pattern alternating from right to
left and then left to right provides a professional finish. (See image on
the right). One way to do this is to point the spray nozzle at the edge of
the last applied belt before turning on the gun.
When taking a short break from painting (up to 1 hour), lock the
trigger of the gun, reduce the pressure to minimum (zero), and return
the spray valve to the overflow position. Switch off the chiller and
remove the plug from the socket. Refer to the procedure for removing
excess pressure.
For interior corners, such as a bookcase or the inside of a cabinet, point
the gun toward the center of the corner to spray the paint. Choosing
such a spray pattern will ensure that the edges on both sides are evenly
painted.
