Follow this procedure to remove excess pressure each time you stop spraying and before cleaning,
inspecting, servicing, or transporting equipment.
1. Turn off the power and unplug the power
cable.
2. Hold the gun firmly against the side of
the bucket.
Leave the feed valve in the overflow position until you are ready to spray again. If you suspect that the spray
nozzle or hose is clogged, or that the pressure has not been fully released after following the steps above,
VERY SLOWLY loosen the nozzle protector or hose end to gradually reduce the pressure, then loosen
completely. Clean the hose or clogged nozzle. If we see that the nozzle is clogged, the first fastest option is
to turn it 180 degrees and press the trigger directing the outlet into the bucket.
To clean the nozzle thoroughly, pull it out completely. Remember to drain the pressure and turn off the chiller
before removing it. Later, you need to unscrew the nozzle holder, then you can pull out the nozzle along with
the nozzle gasket. The replaced elements can be washed in warm water with liquid.
1. Prepare the paint according to the manufacturer's recommendations. This is probably one of the
most important steps towards trouble-free use of the chiller! Check the nozzle and pressure
recommended by the manufacturer in the technical data sheet of a given paint. Remove any
coatings that may have formed on top of the paint. If necessary, dilute the paint (according to the
manufacturer's recommendations). Finally, strain the paint through a thin nylon filter bag
(available from most paint retailers) to remove particles containing contaminants that could clog
the spray tip or damage the seal.
