Destruction of the product
An incorrect connection of the input or output channels can lead to destruction of the product or connected components.
Repeated and strong overloading of the channels can destroy the product.

The suitable cable types, cable lengths and cross-sections can be found in the technical specifications of the product.
To meet the requirements in the power plant sector (damped oscillatory wave, asymmetrical conducted disturbance
variables), the field wiring for the I/O modules must be executed as indicated in the table below:

To meet the requirements of NE21, execution with or without shielding is possible.
The signal cable for the D-SUB terminal block must satisfy the following conditions:
The D-SUB cable must be shielded.
The cross-section of the cores must be at least 0.25 mm² (at least 0.5 mm² when using the I/O module F-DQ 10x24
VDC/2 A).
Only operate the cable and the D-SUB plug-in connector under the conditions, especially the thermal conditions,
approved for the products.
If you are operating fail-safe I/O modules, measures for short-circuit fault exclusion in accordance with ISO 13849-2 must
be taken into account.
Cables emerging from the enclosure/control cabinet require strain relief.
