1. Initial checks

Thank you for choosing a BODET clock. This product has been carefully designed for your
satisfaction according to the rules of our ISO9001 and ISO14001 quality system.
We recommend that you read this manual carefully before installing the product.
Retain this manual throughout the lifespan of your product so that you can refer to it when necessary.
Failure to observe these instructions may cause irreversible damage and invalidate the warranty.
BODET shall not be responsible for any damage arising due to non-observance of these instructions.

These instructions relate to the "NTP" models. For other models, please refer to the
corresponding instructions.

1.1 Unpacking the clock

Carefully unpack the clock and check the contents of the package. This should include:
– The clock (with label on the Ethernet port, including the product's MAC address) and this manual
or a quick start guide.
– 3 stud bolts and 3 anchors for the wall mounting of a single-sided clock.
Version: a label identifying the clock version and its electrical characteristics is stuck outside the
clock.
NTP = the clock is a slave clock controlled by a master clock or an NTP time server.

1.2 Cleaning

Use an anti-static product. Never use alcohol, acetone or other solvents, which may damage the
clock's casing or glass. After operations in the clock, the seals should be cleaned before an
application of silicone oil on it, to facilitate the opening and closing of the clock.

1.3 Pre-requisites

In order to start the clock, you must install the "Bodet Detect" software.
This software is available to download for free on the Bodet website at www.bodet-time.com.
Note: For a clock version with PoE power supply, the network socket to which the Bodet clock is
connected must be PoE-enabled through a PoE switch or a PoE injector.
We recommend the following brands:
■PoE injectors: Zyxel, Tp Link, D-Link, HP, Cisco, Axis, ITE Power Supply, PhiHong, Abus,
■PoE switches: D-Link, HP, Planet, Zyxel, Cisco, NetGear, PhiHong.
