Im Falle von Reklamationen im Zusammenhang mit
dem Produkt, wie beispielsweise Beschädigungen des
Gestricks oder Mängel in der Passform, wenden Sie
sich bitte direkt an Ihren medizinischen Fachhandel.
Nur schwerwiegende Vorkommnisse, die zu einer we-
sentlichen Verschlechterung des Gesundheitszustan-
des oder zum Tod führen können, sind dem Hersteller
und der zuständigen Behörde des Mitgliedsstaates
zu melden. Schwerwiegende Vorkommnisse sind im
Artikel 2 Nr. 65 der Verordnung (EU) 2017/745 (MDR)
definiert.

Im Regelfall ist das Produkt nach Nutzungsende über
den herkömmlichen Entsorgungsweg zu vernichten.

Intended purpose
Intended the JuzoPro Malleo stabilises the ankle joint
with two rigid padded elements that are joined togeth-
er in a way that allows for flexibility and adaptability
and lie on the sides of the joint. It limits the pronation
and supination movement, i.e. the inward or outward
twisting.
How to put on the product correctly:
Put on your support while sitting down to prevent
injuries or falling.
1. Open the two straps on the orthosis shells, fold
open the shells and lay the orthosis down on
the floor in front of you with the pads facing up.
Now place your heel on the piece connecting the
orthosis shells. As you do this your foot should be
at a 90° angle to your lower leg. Now fold both
shells around your ankle so that your anklebones
rest in the center of the corresponding protrusions
provided.
2. Now pass the orthosis strap around your leg and
attach it to the hook and loop pad on the opposite
shell. Continue to wrap the strap around your leg
and then attach the hook and loop fastener located
on the end of the strap to the strap itself. Repeat
the previous step for the lower orthosis strap.
The correct fit of the orthosis is assured when it en-
closes the ankle tightly but does so without exerting
a too strong (painful) pressure. The orthosis can be
readjusted at any time by repeating step 2 at any time.
To achieve an optimal therapy result you should wear
the orthosis over your socks while wearing runners
/ shoes.
Please note:
Only wear your orthosis when prescribed by your
physician. Medical aids should only be dispensed by
suitably trained staff of a medical products supplier.
The effectiveness of the orthosis can only be realised
if it is applied correctly. The orthosis is largely resist-
ant to oils, ointments, skin moisture and other environ-
mental influences. The durability of the material may
be affected by certain combinations of the above. We
therefore recommend that it gets examined regularly
by the medical products supplier. Should the product
become damaged, please consult your specialist
supplier. Do not repair the orthosis yourself – this
could compromise its quality and medical efficacy.
For hygienic reasons, the orthosis is not suitable for
treating more than one patient. The sewn-in textile
label is important for the identification and traceability
of the product. We therefore ask you not to remove the
label under any circumstances.
Washing and care instructions
Please observe the care instructions on the textile
label on your JuzoPro Malleo. Detach the pads from
the orthosis shells (hook and loop fastener) and wipe
the shells with a moist cloth. Handwash the pads with
laundry detergent for delicate fabrics every day or
between uses at approx. 30 °C. We recommend using
the mild Juzo Special Detergent. Afterwards please
rinse out the pads well and allow them to dry in a
free-hanging position at room temperature. To reduce
the drying time, before hanging up the pads you can
place them on a thick terry towel, roll them up tightly
and squeeze firmly. Do not leave in the towel and do
not place on a heater or in the sun to dry. The pads are
not suitable for tumble drying. Please do not reattach
the pads to the shells until they are fully dry. This Juzo
product must not be cleaned chemically.

Storage information and usage duration
Store in a dry place and protect from sunlight. The
medical retailer or doctor prescribing the orthosis will
advise on exactly how long it can be used for.
Notes for specialist staff
Please note the applicable official regulations relating
to the issue and adjustment of orthoses by authorised
specialist staff.
