Maintenance
6.1
Maintenance table
The specified intervals are recommended by Dräger. If
required, deviating national guidelines must be observed.
For maintenance work on the full face mask, ventilation unit,
automatic switch valve and compressed air breathing
apparatus, see the relevant instructions for use.

6.2
Visually inspecting the chemical
protection suit
The following examinations are mandatory. The chemical
protective suit must be repaired or disposed of in case of
defects.
– No holes, cuts or abrasions must be found on the outside
of the chemical protective suit.
– The seam tape must not become detached.
– The visor must be clean.
– The following parts must be undamaged:
– Suit material
– Gloves
– Socks
– Visor
– Visor seal
– Fastener system
– The suit valves must be free and undamaged.
– The suit material must not show any signs of wear. The
coating must not become detached from the fabric.
6.3
Cleaning and disinfecting the
chemical protective suit
NOTICE
Risk of damaging the material!
For cleaning and disinfecting, do not use any solvents (e.g.
acetone or alcohol) or cleaning agents with scouring particles.
► Only follow the specified procedure and use the specified
cleaning and disinfecting agents. Other agents, dosages
and application times may cause damage to the product.

6.3.1 Manual cleaning and disinfecting
CAUTION
Danger of material damage!
The anti-fog properties can be lost during cleaning and
disinfection.
► Do not immerse the anti-fog visor in liquid for longer than
5 minutes.
1. Remove rucksack pad and clean separately with clean,
warm water.
2. Disassemble the ventilation unit, D-Connect, and anti-fog
visor (if fitted), clean separately and disinfect.
3. Unfasten the protective caps and valve discs on the suit
valves.
4. Remove the gloves if necessary:
– If the chemical protective suit is equipped with a glove
combination, the glove combination must be removed
and disposed.
– If Tricotril overgloves are used, remove but do not
wash them. Contaminated Tricotril overgloves must be
replaced.
– FKM, FKM/butyl and butyl gloves can remain on the
suit during manual cleaning.
