General safety notes
WARNING
Live parts
Heed the following points when working on electrical cables and connections.
The national regulations concerning electrical safety apply to all connections and installation work.
The system must be supplied through a residual current protection device (RCD) with residual current of not
more than 30mA.
WARNING
Danger due to overvoltage!
Operate the system only in buildings in which an overvoltage protection system (e.g. surge arrestor, type 2 per
VDE regulations) is installed. Interference voltage can seriously damage electrical components and lead to sys-
tem failure.
CAUTION
Hot surfaces!
The drive motor can develop a high temperature during operation.
Wear protective gloves.
CAUTION
Danger of slipping due to fatty liquid. The floor can be wet with fatty liquid during cleaning or disposal.
► Remove liquid spills, wear suitable footwear.
WARNING
The tank of the separator does not have to be accessed for installation or maintenance purposes.
Where required, the use of certified and approved access steps (e.g. ladder or step) is necessary for installation,
inspection and maintenance.
However, if it is necessary to access a tank for unforeseen reasons, all the safety measures for entering tanks must
be taken (including testing the air to ensure that it is safe, and forced (mechanical) ventilation of the tank if neces-
sary).
Prescribed personal protective equipment!
Always use personal protective equipment during installation, maintenance and disposal work on the system.
Protective clothing
Protective gloves
Safety footwear
Face protection
Operating and maintenance instructions must be kept available at the product.
NOTICE
Improper cleaning
Plastic components can become damaged or brittle
Only clean plastic components with water and a pH-neutral cleaning agent.
