9. Equipment compliance

hereby declares that the safety equipment de-
scribed in this manual,
• is identical to the PPE, having been subject
to the "CE"-type-examination certificate is-
sued by the APAVE SUDEUROPE SAS – CS
60193 – 13322 Marseille – France, identified
under the number 0082, and tested according
to standard EN 795-A:2012 for 1 operator et TS
16415:2013 for 2 operators.
10. Marking
The marking of the Tractel
indicates:
a. the trade name : TRACTEL
b. The description of the product,
c. the reference standard followed by the year
of application,
d. this equipment reference.
f. year and month of manufacture.
g. The following serial number or solar date
the case,
h. a pictogram showing that the manual must be
read before use,
w. Maximum operating load,
o. Minimum resistance to failure of the anchor-
age device,

11. Periodic inspection and repair

An annual periodic inspection is strongly recom-
mended by Tractel® as the responsibility for this
annual control is under the responsibility of
its user, but depending on the frequency of use,
environmental conditions and regulations of the
company or the country of use, periodic inspec-
tions may be more frequent.
Periodic inspections must be carried out by an
authorised and competent technician and in ac-

cordance with the manufacturer's examination
procedures as set out in the "Tractel® PPE Veri-
fication Instructions" file.
Confirmation of the legibility of the product mark-
ings should be an integral part of the periodic
inspection.
At the end of the periodic inspection, the return
to service must be notified in writing by the au-
thorised and competent technician who conduct-
ed the periodic inspection. This return to service
must be recorded on the inspection sheet in the
middle of this manual. This inspection record
should be retained throughout the product's life
cycle, up until it is recycled.
After stopping a fall, this product must be sub-
jected to a periodic inspection as described in
this article, and any textile components of the
product must be replaced, even if they do not
show any visible deterioration.
12. Lifespan
Tractel® textile PPE such as harnesses, lan-
yards, ropes and absorbers, Tractel® mechan-
ical PPE such as fall arresters stopcable™ and
stopfor™, self-closing fall arresters blocfor™,
and Tractel® lifelines can be used without re-
strictions from the date of manufacture, provided
that they are:
- use in accordance with this instruction manual
- a periodic inspection, which must be performed
at least once a year by an approved and com-
petent technician. On completion of this periodic
inspection, it must be certified in writing that the
PPE is fit to be returned to service,
- strict compliance with the storage and transport
conditions contained in the current manual.
- As a general rule and subject to the application
of the conditions of use mentioned above, their
lifespan may exceed 10 years.
