The tools required for fixing on concrete or steel
structures are specified in the manufacturer's
installation instructions for the fixing (dowels,
bolts, etc.).
That the marking of the anchoring device is pres-
ent and legible.
All the components of the Tractel® fall arrest
anchorage system do not show any significant
deformation and/or corrosion.
That the area has an access point allowing the
operator to safely connect to the anchoring de-
vice.
That the locking system of the tracrod 150Kg
anchor rod works (Fig. 1, ref. 2 and 3).
5.2. Installation
The following installation procedure refers to
Figure 3.
"DANGER": The anchor device fasteners
must be installed vertically at ±1°.
"WARNING": The exceeding of the fixing
pins of a tracrod 150kg anchor base must not
exceed 33 mm, in case of doubt see the operat-
ing manual of the tracrod 150kg anchor base.
"DANGER": The tensile strength of each
fastener must be at least 1 150 daN and 12 mm
in diameter
"DANGER": All screws, nut and M12 fixing
bolt must be tightened to a torque of 3+/- 0.5
daN.m.
• Installation procedure :
a) Hold the tracrod 150 Kg anchor rod with the
side of the unlocking actuator facing the installer
(fig 1, ref. 2).
« IMPORTANT » : The installer must posi-
tion himself so that he never has the manhole
between him and the anchor base when install-
ing the tracrod 150 kg anchor rod.
b) Place the tracrod anchor rod 150 Kg above
the tracrod anchor base 150 Kg (fig. 2).
c) Insert the tracrod anchor rod 150 Kg into the
tracrod anchor base 150 kg until it reaches the
stop (fig. 3, ref. 5)
Installation completed
IMPORTANT : The period between the
date of the first periodic review and the date of
first commissioning shall not exceed 12 months.
IMPORTANT : Any orientation of the
Tractel® anchoring device other than those rec-
ommended is prohibited.
5.3 Removal
a) Position yourself on the unlocking actuator
side of the tracrod 150 kg anchor rod.
b) Pull and hold the unlocking actuator.
c) With the actuator held, remove the tracrod
150 kg anchor rod from the tracrod 150 kg an-
chor base. (Fig. 3)

6. Prohibited use

It is strictly forbidden:
• to install or use this equipment without the
proper authorisation, training and recognition or,
failing that, without the supervision of an author-
ised, trained and recognised competent person.
• to use this equipment if any of the markings
are not legible.
• to install or use this equipment without first hav-
ing carried out the preliminary checks.
• to use this Tractel® equipment if it has not been
periodically inspected during the last 12 months
by a technician having authorised re-use in writ-
ing.
• to connect this equipment to an anchoring point
that has not been periodically inspected during
the last 12 months by a technician having au-
thorised re-use in writing.
