GB
After installation, check that the connector(s) of
the fall arrest system(s) align freely in the possi-
ble direction of the operator's fall without risk of
jamming or interference with the body of the an-
choring device (fig. 1, ref. 1) and on the tracrod
anchor base 150Kg (fig. 3).
• Check the condition of all components of the
associated fall arrest system. Refer to the spe-
cific instructions for each component.
• Check the complete fall arrest system.
• Verify that the anchoring device has been pe-
riodically inspected within last 12 months.

4. Functions and description
The tracrod anchor rod point is an original piece
of equipment which, for the purposes of this
manual, must be used as a personal fall arrest
anchor point. It must only be used on a trac-
rod 150kg anchor base supplied exclusively by
Tractel.

- once connected to the harness anchorage
point, the connector must be at a maximum dis-
tance of 0.9m from the vertical line materialized
by the anchorage (Fig 1 a1)
- The maximum working load of the Tractel® fall
arrest anchorage system is 150 kg per opera-
tor. It can be used by two operators (§ Technical
specifications). It is imperative to ensure, before
use, that all components of the fall arrest system
are compatible with this load by referring to their
respective instructions. If this is not the case, the
maximum load will be that of the element of the
fall arrest system that has the lowest maximum
operating load.
- The tracrod 150kg anchor rod must only be
used with the tracrod 150kg anchor base. This
equipment must only be used to protect people
from falling from a height.

5. Installation
5.1 Pre-installation checks
•
Before any installation, the installer must
have this manual in his possession and must
ensure that the tracrod 150kg anchor base is in-
