Procedure in case of broken haematocrit capillaries

Risk of injury!
Best work with two pairs of gloves worn on top of each other. Wear safety goggles and mask, as glass
splinters could be blown off!

Carefully remove lid of haematocrit rotor.

Remove larger pieces of broken capillaries using pincers.

Remove rotor. Carefully and slowly remove the affected padded shells or the sealing ring with pincers and
exchange them.

Clean and disinfect as described above.
23.3.1

Rotors and accessories with limited service lives

The rotor (order no. 2076) can only be used for a limited time.
The expiration date can be seen on the rotor, e.g.: "einsetzbar bis Ende:  V. Quartal 2019 / usable until end of:
 V. Quartal 2019" (4th quarter 2019).
For safety reasons, the rotor may no longer be used once the expiration date marked on it has been
reached.
