4 Transport and storage
4.1 Transporting the product
Hazards during transportation
• Proceed with caution and observe the information on the packaging when un-
loading and transporting the packaged product to the destination.
4.2 Storing the product
Damage due to incorrect storage
Unfavorable storage conditions can result in corrosion and material deteriora-
tion.
• Protect the product from direct sunlight and UV radiation.
• Keep the product in its packaging until the time of installation.
Elastomer parts
Pneumatic components typically have elastomer seals that are subject to a con-
stant process of aging.
• Products that have been stored for longer than 2 years have a shorter service
life.
• The aging process can be accelerated by heat and light (UV rays).

6.1 Planning
6.1.1 Installation conditions
Product-specific requirements
• Ensure that power packs are equipped with safe isolation in accordance with
EN 61558 and that the power circuits are therefore SELV/PELV power circuits
in accordance with IEC 60364-4-41 (accident protection).
• Power supply equipped with a DC fuse that can interrupt a current of 6.67 A
within max. 120 s.
• Ensure that the supply voltage of the power pack is always < 300 V AC (exter-
nal conductor - neutral conductor).
For use in North America and/or Canada: Use an isolated power source that
meets one of the following requirements:
• Power circuit with limited energy in accordance with UL/CSA 61010-1/ UL/
CSA 61010-2-201.
• Limited power source (LPS) in accordance with UL/CSA 60950-1.
• Class 2 power source that complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC),
NFPA 70, clause 725.121 and the Canadian Electric Code (CEC), Part I, c22.1.
Example: Class 2 transformer or class 2 power source in accordance with UL
5085-3/ CSA-C22.2 no. 66.3 or UL 1310/CSA-c22.2 no. 223)
