Check that in the alarm list, the message «Battery switch
opened: Close it» can be found.
Touch over the «Alarm acknowledgement» icon
to acknowledge it and silent it.
This alarm message means that the equalising process has
been finished and IN THIS MOMENT ONLY the battery switch
or battery protection or both elements can be turned on:
Equipments with only one battery mechanism, either a
fuse-holder switch or battery switch and labelled in the
illustrations of this document as (Q3). Turn it to «On».
Equipments with two battery mechanisms, fuse-holder
switch (F3) and isolator switch (Q3).
First turn the battery fuse-holder switch (F3) to «On».
1.
Next, turn the battery isolator switch (Q3) to «On».
2.
In parallel systems, repeat the process for each equipment.
DO NOT TRY to make this manoeuvring at any
other moment and/or in any other way, because
it could damage the equipment and/or cause accidents.
In the main screen of the control panel of each equipment will
•
be displayed a flow diagram like the one in Fig 41.
If the equipment or parallel system has an outgoing distribu-
•
tion, start it up by turning the «On».
Start up the loads to supply sequentially. The set is started up
•
completely and the loads are protected by the UPS or by the
UPS parallel system.

In the contents of the main screen, a flow diagram like Fig.
41 will be displayed , which corresponds to a III/III equipment
with no separate bypass line. Nevertheless, depending on the
input and output voltage typology of the equipment, either
single or three phase, on the separate bypass availability or
on its status, the flow diagram will change according tho this
variables, as well as the stated correlation voltages. In the
EL064*01 document there are shown other configurations as
an examples.

After the commissioning, the daily start up and shut-
•
down of the equipment or parallel system, will be done
trhough the control panel keypad (PC). In parallel systems, it is
only needed to act over one of them.
Consider that the UPS or system will be still supplying
output voltage, never mind the own inverter/s status:
When shutdown, loads supplied from static bypass.
When turned on, loads supplied from inverter (On-line
mode).

6.2.2.4. Considerations regarding Master and
Slave (parallel systems only).
Bypass Master and Slave, message:
•
In equipments with alphanumerical display («Mst. Byp.»,
«Slv. Byp.», «Slv. By.Rsv»).
In equipments with touch screen («Master Bypass», «Slave
Bypass», «Slave Bypass Reserve»).
Master manages the status of the own solid state static
bypass switch and the one of the Slave equipments.
The equipments are not sharing the load in the inverters.
The cause can be any of the following:
Output switches (Q2) to position «Off».
–
Equipment output on bypass.
–
Inverters are shutdown or in start up process.
–
Voltage Master and Slave, , message:
•
In equipments with alphanumerical display («Mst. Volt»,
«Slv. Volt», «Slv. Vt.Rsv»).
In equipments with touch screen («Master Voltage», «Slave
Voltage», «Slave Voltage Reserve»).
Master manages the status of the own solid state static
bypass switch and controls the inverter voltage, as well
as the one of the Slave equipments.
Equipments are sharing the load in inverter. Therefore:
Output switches (Q2) are to «On» position.
–
Inverter are operative and solid state switches are
–
on inverter.
6.3. SHUTDOWN OF AN EQUIPMENT FROM
PARALLEL SYSTEM.
Turn the output switch (Q2) of the UPS to shutdown, to posi-
•
tion «Off».
In equipments with alphanumerical display the screen 0.1
can be checked:
UPS: Normal, Invert.
CFG: Paral. Not connected
In equipments with touch screen, press over the icon lo-
cated in the side menu of the main UPS screen.
The information screen will be displayed, where the
–
UPS configuration can be checked in the statement
«Parallel Unit Status» and the message «Parallel Not
connected» will be displayed.
Regarding the boxes under the statements «Unit
status» and «Output Status» will be displayed with the
messages «Starting up» and «Inverter» respectively.
