1.8.4 Note on processing
The properties of the final product depend, among other things, on the finishing process. Correct post-exposure
is very important for biocompatibility. Therefore, it must be ensured that the exposure unit is in proper condition
and the molded parts are completely cured (refer to the chapter "Manufacturing process [1.11]").
After storage, intensively shake and homogenize the material in the cartridge before use.
Before inserting the cartridge into the material unit, check the same for integrity.
Remove the seal label before inserting the cartridge into the material unit.
Minimal material thickness of the tray 2.5 mm, in the grip area 5.0 mm.
Minimum material thickness of base plates 2.5 mm.
Maximum curing depth* at direct post-exposure: 4 mm
*In case of large objects and exposure on both sides, the material thickness can be up to 8 mm.
1.8.5 Enviromental Conditions
Processing temperature 23 °C ± 2 °C.
1.8.6 Cleaning Kit
Rinse bath tubs, flush cutter, paper towel, squeeze bottle for isopropyl alcohol, scraper.
1.8.7 Curing light equipment
SDS Primeprint PPU.
1.9 Safety Information
Only for the specified intended use by trained specialists.
Avoid direct contact with the liquid material and the components before post-curing, especially in pregnant /
breastfeeding women. Irritating to eyes and skin (sensitization possible).
Wear personal protective equipment (protective gloves, goggles) when handling the uncured material.
Wear suitable personal protective equipment (protective gloves, goggles, face mask) when finishing the cured
material.
After contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with water immediately and consult a doctor.
After contact with skin wash immediately with water and soap.
Biocompatibility is only guaranteed with complete polymerisation.
Refer to the relevant safety data sheet for hazard and safety information.
1.10 Storage
Primeprint Splint is to be stored dry (at 15 °C - 28 °C) and protected from light. Minimal influence of light can already
induce polymerisation.

1.11 Manufacturing process
For the insertion, setup and correct procedure for handling the Primeprint cartridge, refer to the Primeprint operating
instructions (REF 6745173) by Dentsply Sirona. Data processing and creation of the support structure according to the
information of the Dentsply Sirona software.
Mixing
Before inserting the cartridge into the material unit the material must be shaken. Inadequate
mixing could cause deviations of colour and print failures.
Prepare the printer
Inserting the material unit and the Primeprint-Box into the printer. Different batches of the same
3D printing resin may not be mixed. The 3D printing resin can remain in the vat for a maximum of
five month.
Construction process
Visual inspection of print resin material: in case print resin material is visually contaminated, it
may not be used and must be discarded. Generate a print job complying with printer and material
parameters. For setting up the printer follow the instructions for use of the printer. Data prepa-
ration and fabrication of the support structure according to the instructions of the CAD software
manufacturer (inLab CAM).
Post-processing
If possible, the finishing must take place immediately after the building process in the Primeprint
PPU. To do this, remove the Primeprint box (transport container with build platform) from the
Primeprint including build job and transfer it to the Primeprint PPU. In the Primeprint PPU, the
pre-cleaning and main cleaning steps are performed in two separate vessels with isopropanol
and fresh isopropanol (purity >98%). The build job is then automatically fed to the drying and
post-exposure process. These steps are performed in the system according to the material. No
user interaction is required.
CAUTION: The use of Primeprint is only approved when applied with the compatible devices mentioned in this instructions for use.
Any unauthorized changes to the process equipment, parameters, or software may result in a device that is out of specification.
1.12 Finishing
Following the steps that have been automatically completed in the Primeprint PPU, the Primeprint box is removed
from the Primeprint PPU. The objects are now removed from the build platform, and the support structures are
detached.
1.13 Disposal
Disposal of the contents/container must be carried out in accordance with the local/regional/national and internatio-
nal regulations.
1.14 Notes
Always keep container tightly sealed, immediately close the container carefully after each use.
Please follow the instructions on the safety data sheet!
For users and/or patients:
Any serious incidents occurring in relation to this product should be reported immediately to
incident@detax.de and to the competent authority in which the user and/or patient is established.
