– Anchor: Fall-arrest system fastening device with
minimum capacity of 10 kN (1 ton). The anchor is
compliant with standard EN 795.
– Belay lanyard: Connecting element between a

fastening point and a system to be secured.
– Clam cleat: Rope blocking system.
– Rope guide: Rope return system.
– Bracket: Descender fastening device for mounting on
a ladder or tripod.
– Rescue fastening point: Specific connecting point
on a harness or rescue strap for fastening rescue or
evacuation systems.
– Handwheel: Handwheel used on derope™ UP
descender to bring up a person by a few meters.
– Fall arrest harness: Body harness intended to stop
falls. The harness is formed by straps and buckles.
It comprises fall-arrest fastening points marked with
an A if they can be used alone, or marked with an A/2
when they must be used in combination with another
A/2 point. The harness is compliant with standard
EN 361.
– Rescue harness / rescue strap: body fastening
devices intended to maintain a person to be evacuated
in a given position during a rescue operation. These
devices are compliant with standards EN 1497 and
EN 1498.
– Rigging tripod: Tripod with 3 legs adjustable for height
and forming an anchor point. It is compliant with
standard EN 795 class B.
– Voluntary evacuation: Person is evacuated alone or
with the assistance of a qualified person from a height
down to the ground.
– Rescue evacuation: The victim is evacuated by a
rescue operator.
– Multi-anchoring plate: This plate is used to fasten
several connectors to a same fastening point. It is
used to orient and distribute the load during rescue
maneuvers.
– In-line double pulley block: Pulley equipped with
two aligned sheaves, suitable for evacuation on a
tensioned rope. The pulley is compliant with standard
EN 12278.
