CHECKING AND CLEANING

Ensure that cable terminals (1) and bat-
tery clamps (2) are:
√ in good operating conditions, i.e. show
no signs of corrosion or deposits;
√ coated with special grease or Vase-
line.

If necessary:

ensure that the ignition switch is posi-
tioned to ≈

Disconnect the negative cable first (-)
and then the (red) positive cable (+).

Remove any deposits with a wire brush.

first and then the negative cable (-).

Coat terminals and clamps with special
grease or Vaseline.
