Observe the ACS 652 menu prompting.
1. Screw the adapter onto the external refrigerant
cylinder.

Connection types of external refrigerant cylinder

External refrigerant cylinder with one valve: Al-
ways turn this external refrigerant cylinder upside
down when filling the internal refrigerant cylinder.
Screw the adapter onto the connection of the
external refrigerant cylinder.
$
External refrigerant cylinder with two valves:
Screw the adapter onto the LIQUID connection of
the external refrigerant cylinder.
2. Connect the LP service hose to the adapter on the
external refrigerant cylinder.
3. Open the valve on the external refrigerant cylinder.
4. Press <MENU>.
5. Select "TANK FILLING" with o u and confirm with
E.
The max. quantity to be filled is displayed.
6. Enter filling capacity with <0 – 9> and confirm with E.
SELECT PORTS
1 HP & LP PORTS
2 HP PORT
3 LP PORT
7. Select <1> and confirm with E.
Filling process starts.

The current pressure inside the external refrigerant
cylinder is indicated on the high/low-pressure gauge.
i
ACS 652 ends the filling process when the entered
refrigerant quantity is reached.
8. Close the valves of the external refrigerant cylinder
and of the LP service hose.
9. Confirm with E
Automatic emptying starts.
Recovery phase completed (after approx. 2-4
minutes).
10. Disconnect the LP service hose and adapter from
the external refrigerant cylinder.

Internal refrigerant cylinder is full.

Call up start screen to check refrigerant quantity in
internal refrigerant cylinder and press E.

Return with <Stop>.

A/C service preparation
WARNING – Risk of burns from hot engine
components
Contact with hot engine components will
cause severe burns.

Allow the engine to cool down.
¶
Wear protective gloves.
WARNING – Risk of frostbite from escap-
ing refrigerant
Refrigerant causes severe frostbite on the
skin.

Check the service hoses for damage.
¶
Firmly connect the service quick-release
couplings to the service hoses.
¶
Wear safety goggles.
¶
Wear protective gloves.

Observe the vehicle manufacturer's recommenda-
tions for A/C service on vehicles with a low-pressure
connection only.
1. Stand the ACS 652 on a flat, vibration-proof surface.
2. Actuate the brake to stop the ACS 652 rolling.
3. Connect the power supply cord to the power supply.
4. Switch on the master switch.

Observe the manufacturer's instructions for the cor-
responding vehicle before performing A/C service.
!
The ACS 652 is only to be operated with R134a
refrigerant. Check which refrigerant is used for the
vehicle before performing A/C service.
!
The ACS 652 cannot be used for air conditioners
repaired using a chemical sealant. Non-observance
will invalidate the warranty.
!
Never attempt to close the valves of the internal re-
frigerant cylinder whilst the ACS 652 is in operation.
