Commutation modes on the 8400
Two commutation modes on the transistor or relay are available:
- hysteresis mode;
- window mode.
In hysteresis mode (see Fig. 24), the status of the transistor or
relay is changed:
- on detection of the high threshold (O HI) when the measured
temperature increases
- on detection of the low threshold (O LO) when the measured
temperature decreases.

In window mode, the status of the transistor or relay output
is changed whenever one of the thresholds is detected (see
Fig. 25).

The time delay before commutation (DEL) is valid for both output
thresholds. Commutation is done if one of the thresholds (O HI,
O LO) is exceeded for a period longer than the time delay prior to
commutation, DEL (see Fig. 26).
