Installation onto the pipe
DANGER
Risk of injury due to high pressure in the installation
▶ Stop the circulation of fluid and depressurize the pipes
before loosening the process connections.
Risk of injury due to high fluid temperatures.
▶ Use safety gloves to handle the device.
▶ Stop the circulation of fluid and depressurize the pipes
before loosening the process connections.
Risk of injury due to the nature of the fluid.
▶ Respect the regulations on accident prevention and safety
relating to the use of aggressive fluids.
→ Choose a standard G 1/2", NPT 1/2" or Rc 1/2" connection
(depending on the port connection of your device) to install
the device onto the pipe.
Always ensure a watertight seal between the device
and the pipe by following the instructions below.
→ Install the connection on the pipe according to the installation
instructions provided with the connection.
→ For versions with G 1/2" port con-
nection, ensure that the O-ring is in
place on the device.
→ Replace it if necessary.

Type 8400
Do not use its housing to screw the device onto the
pipe.
→ Using an appropriate tool, screw the
device into the connection.

When repositioning the housing, do not unscrew the
metal part of the device from the pipe.
→ After positioning the housing, put the cover
back in its initial position.
