2. Turn the main switch to the
"START" position. After the
engine starts, release the
switch and put the starter lever
(choke) in the half-open posi-
tion. Warm up the engine until
it runs smoothly and does not
begin to stall when the starter
lever is returned to the closed
position.

ately after the engine starts.

If the engine fails to start, re-
lease the switch, wait a few
seconds, then try again.
Each attempt should be as
short as possible to pre-
serve the battery. Do not
crank the engine more than
10 seconds on any one at-
tempt.

When the ambient tempera-
ture is below -25 °C (-13 °F),
be sure to thoroughly warm up
the engine before starting off.
●
Do not put an excessive load
on the engine while the engine
is being warmed up.
2. Tourner le contacteur à clé à la
position « START ». Quand le
moteur tourne, relâcher le contac-
teur et repousser le starter jusqu'à
mi-course. Laisser le moteur
s'échauffer et refermer le starter
dès que le moteur est suffisam-
ment chaud pour tourner sans
tousser ou caler.

Si le moteur ne se met pas en
marche, relâcher la clé, atten-
dre quelques secondes, puis ef-
fectuer une nouvelle tentative.
Chaque essai doit être le plus
court possible afin de ménager
la batterie. Ne jamais actionner
le démarreur pendant plus de
10 secondes d'affilée par essai.
