NOTE: On the sixth and seventh wing unit arms
(fig. 79), only the front torsion springs are adjustable
as follows:
(a)
Release bracket (A) and reverse to enable nut
(B) to be trapped. Re-tighten screw (C).
(b)
Proceed as for increasing or decreasing the
tension quoted previously but only release the
catch (E). DO NOT RELEASE CATCH ON
OTHER SIDE OF ARM.
After adjustments have been made the catches
(A fig. 80) and (A fig. 81) should be returned to their
original positions for normal operation.
WARNING: Extra care must be taken when adjusting
the torsion springs and never stand over the arm.
Remember that the tension must be release before
removing the cutting units from the arm, or
dismantling any part of the lifting arm.
