(a)
Remove the existing screws which hold the
clutch inspection plate on the tractor and drill
two additional holes in the inspection plate
18mm (1 1/16") diameter to suit holes in the
mounting plate (J).
(b)
Attach the front mounting assembly to the
tractor using four screws (L) supplied (5/8"
UNC x 1½" long) and two screws (F) supplied
(5/8" UNC x 3" long). The inspection plate
should be retained above the mounting plate
(J). Ensure that the rear cross angle (D) is
secured to the Right-Hand and Left-Hand
mounting brackets (A) with bolts (E) and that t
he front cross member (B) is secured to the
mounting brackets (A) Right-Hand and Left-
Hand with bolts (G) and (K). For the MF 245
tractor only, the plate (M) must be positioned
between the first cross member (B) and the
Right-Hand and Left-Hand mounting bracket
(A). The required packers (H) should be in
place on bolts (G) (See also page 21 for
alignment of frames).
(c)
Check chains (standard tractor) should be fitted
to the axle brackets and to the lower lift arms.
(d)
Fit modified cab support brackets (A fig. 15)
under cab with existing screws previously
removed and attach Right-Hand and Left-Hand
hose supports (B fig. 15) using screws (C) hose
(M12 x 40mm long).
(e)
Fit hose supports underneath tractor differential
housing using two screws (3/4" UNC x 1½"
long) in the forward pair of holes used for the
towing hitch mounting.
(f)
Remove existing four studs from the P.T.O.
mounting and replace with four longer studs
supplied and four collars. These must be in
position before fitting the pump gearbox to the
tractor.
