The eight existing bolts (G) removed from the
tractor are used to fix the shield kit into the
tractor.
Rear Shield Kit (MF 20D)
The glass sheet should be removed from the
lower rear window of the tractor cab and
replaced with the alternative panel and rubber
sheets (supplied). The rubber sheets should be
assembled around the control levers using
existing screws from the tractor window.
Scrapers
(A fig. 36)
These are supplied for use in conditions where
there is excessive build up of mud and grass on
the rear roll of the cutting unit. Generally the
use of scrapers is unnecessary and the best
grass delivery is obtained with the scrapers
removed.
Decals
Three decals are to be affixed to the front
window of the tractor cab (fig. 37).

Levelling the units (fig. 38)
(a)
Ensure that the tractor is on level ground. To
check that the mower frame is parallel to the
ground, first measure the distance from the
ground level to the bottom face of the main
frame at points A (fig. 38) on both sides of the
mower.

The top link adjustment is used to level up the
frame, front to rear, and the right-hand link is
adjusted to level the frame right to left. Adjust
until these four points are the same distance
from ground level.
NOTE: Ensure that the top link is locked securely after
adjustment has been made. Failure to do this will
cause vibration which will result in a forward or
backward "creep" of the frame and create uneven
cutting with the rear and wing units.

Packers (H fig. 39, 40 and 41) are supplied to
enable the levelling up of the front units and
they are fitted between the mounting brackets
and the front cross member (B fig. 39, 40 and
41). Either one or two packers should be used
to align the brackets with the rear mounting
frame and units.
