2.5 Tare function

Manual taring
Place an empty container on the platform and press the Tare button.
Manual tare input
To program the Function key, "Manual Tare Input" must be selected in Setting
mode. To set the Function key, see Paragraph 1.13 or User Mode 3720 (see
separate description 470.702.103).
Set the value using the Tare button or Function key. Press briefly to increase the
value by one. Press and hold to scroll rapidly through the values.
The selected value is stored by pressing the Print button.
Cancel taring
Press the Zero button to cancel taring.
Tare info
To view the currently stored Tare value, press the Info button then the Tare
button.
Press the On/Off button to exit this display.
Auto-tare function
This automatically tares the first weight value placed on the scales.
Place an empty container on the platform. After stabilising, the first weight
value is
stored in the Tare memory.
After unloading, the Tara memory is automatically deleted.
The Auto-tare function must be selected in Setting mode (see separate
description 470.702.103 User mode 3720)  UCAL 1 Position 03 = Value 1.
Temporary tare function
The temporary tare function can be assigned to the Function key.
For Function key settings, see Paragraph 1.13 or User mode 3720 (see separate
description 470.702.103)  UCAL 4 Position 02 = Value 5.
Unknown tare values are added to the existing tare value without changing the
net weight display.
When the Function key is pressed, the word "hold" appears on the display.
Place an additional tare weight or remove the tare weight from the platform.
Press the Print button to store the new tare weight.
