Troubleshooting

If the device stops working properly, fi rst check whether you are able to correct the
problem yourself.
Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself!

Possible cause / solution
• Is the battery fl at? Recharge it.
• Is the collecting container full? Empty it.
• Is the dust fi lter heavily clogged up? Clean it.
• Is the suction opening blocked?
Switch off the device and remove the blockage.
• It is also possible that some smaller items will
remain stuck to the carpet or are too big / heavy to
be picked up by the device. Remove these foreign
bodies by hand.
• Check whether the collecting container and dust
fi lter are inserted correctly and adjust the fi tting if
necessary.
• Is the mains adapter plugged correctly into the
plug socket and is the barrel connector in the
connecting socket of the device?
• Is the plug socket defective? Try another plug
socket.
• Check the fuse of your mains connection.
• A new odour is normal when the device is used for
the fi rst time; it disappears after a while.
