Danger of Electric Shock
■
Use and store the device only in closed rooms. Do not operate it outdoors, in rooms
with high humidity or on hot surfaces.
■
Make sure that the mains cable is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and
does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
■
Do not use the device with extension cables or if it is still connected to the mains
adapter and a power source.
■
The mains adapter should only be connected to a plug socket that has been prop-
erly installed. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection. The
mains voltage must match the technical data for the mains adapter (see the "Techni-
cal Data" chapter).
■
Remove the mains adapter from the plug socket in the event of a thunderstorm.
■
Always pull the mains adapter and never the cable!
Fire hazard
■
Do not use the device if highly fl ammable gases are present in the air. Never operate
the device in the vicinity of a gas source.
■
Do not cover the device during operation in order to prevent it from catching fi re. Do
not insert anything into the ventilation openings / nozzles of the device and make
sure that these do not become clogged.
■
Never set up or use the device in the vicinity of highly fl ammable materials (curtains,
textiles, etc.).
■
In case of fi re: Do not use water to extinguish it! Smother the fl ames using a fi re
blanket or a suitable fi re extinguisher.
Avoiding Damage to Material, Property and the Device
■
Always check the device and accessories for damage before putting them into op-
eration. If the device, the mains adapter, the cable or the dust fi lter shows visible
signs of damage, the device must not be used.
■
Switch off the device
– if a fault or error occurs while the device is in operation,
– if foreign bodies have found their way into the device,
– before you connect or remove the mains adapter.
■
The device should only be used when it is fully and correctly assembled. The col-
lecting container and dust fi lter must be inserted and must not be damaged!
If the dirt were to get inside the device, this could damage the motor.
■
Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, wide temperature fl uctuations,
open fi re, direct sunlight, and do not expose the motor unit to any moisture condi-
tions.
■
Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
■
Empty and clean the collecting container after each use. The dust fi lter must also be
regularly cleaned in order to prevent overloading of the motor.
■
Only use accessories which are recommended by the manufacturer.
