7. Put on the exhaust air compartment covers (4). When you do this, make sure that the
locking lugs sit in the recesses which are provided for them.
8. Twist the exhaust air compartment covers (4) in the opposite direction again to secure
them in place. They must engage audibly.
Troubleshooting
If the device does not work properly, fi rst check whether you are able to rectify the prob-
lem yourself.
Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself!

Possible cause / solution / tips
•
Is the mains plug inserted in the socket correctly? Correct the
fi t of the mains plug.
•
Is the plug socket defective? Try another plug socket.
•
Check the fuse of the mains connection.
•
Are the fi lters clogged? Clean all fi lters.
•
Is the dust container (8) too full? Empty the dust container (8).
•
Are the fi lters heavily clogged? Clean all fi lters.
•
Is the nozzle, the extension tube (6) or the suction hose (5)
clogged? Switch off the device, pull the mains plug out of the
plug socket and remove the cause of the blockage (also see
the "Assembly" chapter).
•
Is the dust container (8) not closed correctly and / or not
(correctly) inserted into the device? Correct the fi t of the dust
container (8).
•
Is the device being used for the fi rst time? A smell often
develops when new devices are fi rst used. The smell should
disappear once the device has been used several times.
