Troubleshooting

If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps below, contact the customer
service department.
Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself!
Problem
The device does
not work. / The

not light up.

emerging.

Possible cause
The mains plug (10) is not in-
serted correctly in the socket.
The socket is defective.
No mains voltage is present.
The device has not been
switched on.
The device has not been

PLEASE NOTE: the button under the handle (11) is deactivated
when the stem (N) is inserted in the main unit (A).
The steam power which is set is
too low.
The device is not yet ready to
operate.
The water tank (3) is empty.
The water tank (3) is not insert-
ed in the main unit (A) correctly.
The steam nozzle (8) is clogged
up.
The water tank (3) is empty.
Fix
Check the fi t of the mains plug.
Try another socket.
Check the fuse of the mains
connection.
Press the On / Off switch (9).
Press the On / Off switch (9).
Increase the steam power
using the wheel for setting the
steam power (4).
The device needs to heat up
for a few seconds before steam
can emerge.
Top up the water tank (see "Fill-
ing the Water Tank").
Check that the water tank fi ts
correctly.
Clean the steam nozzle.
