Storage
Store the device in a cool, dry place which is protected from direct sunlight and is out
of the reach of children and animals.
If you do not want to use the device for a prolonged period, remove the recharge-
able battery (4) to stay on the safe side (see section "Charging the rechargeable
battery").

Troubleshooting

If the device stops working properly, fi rst check whether you are able to correct the pro-
blem yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact the
customer service department.
Do not attempt to repair a electrical device yourself!
Problem
The device does
not start.
Low suction force.
Dust escapes from
the device during
cleaning.
The battery is not
charging up. The
lamps (b, d) on the
charging station
are off.
Unusual odour

2. Open and remove the latch.
3. Take out the brush and remove any contamination.
4. Reinsert the brush. When you do this, fi rst insert the end
with the star-shaped recess.
5. Insert the latch and slide the latch fastener back in place.
Possible cause / solution
Is the battery (4) fl at? Charge up the battery.
Is the battery too weak? Charge up the battery.
Is the dust container (7) full? Empty the dust container.
Is the fi lter or the fi lter holder (6) heavily contaminated? Clean
it in accordance with the "Cleaning and storage" chapter.
Is the suction opening/nozzle blocked? Switch off the device
and remove the blockage.
It is also possible that some items will be too big / heavy to
be picked up by the device.
Check whether the dust container and fi lter have been inser-
ted correctly and adjust the fi t if necessary.
Check whether the dust container is closed correctly.
Is the fi lter or the fi lter holder heavily contaminated? Clean
it in accordance with the "Cleaning and Storage" chapter.
Is the fi lter worn or damaged? Replace it.
Is the device seated correctly in the charging station?
Is the mains adapter (13) connected correctly to the plug
socket and the charging station?
Is the plug socket defective? Try another plug socket.
Check the fuse of the mains connection.
A new odour is normal when the device is used for the fi rst
time; it disappears after a while.
