11. Pumping

Note
If the pump has been running for
•
30 minutes without any user action
(e.g. adjustment of the vacuum), the
Symphony will automatically switch
off.
• Only fi ll the bottle to the 150 mL mark.
T Tip
• Do not tilt or overfi ll containers when
pumping.
11B. Preparing for pumping

Push membrane caps into place
on the pump. A"click" will be heard
once properly seated. (Note: if
single pumping, only seat one
membrane cap.)

11A. Before pumping
Caution
Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water
before touching breastpump, kit and breasts and
avoid touching the inside of containers or lids.

Place the breastshield on your
breast so that your nipple is
properly centered in the tunnel.
Hold the breastshield onto your
breast with your thumb and index
fi nger. Support your breast with the
palm of your hand.
Caution
Pressing shields too fi rmly onto breasts may affect
milk fl ow.
