e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool's
operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired by qualified technical
personnel or an authorised ROLLER service shop before use. Many accidents
are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with
sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these
instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to
be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended
could result in a hazardous situation.
5) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only
identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool
is maintained.
Safety instructions for electric die stocks
WARNING
Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and
instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
● Use only original ROLLER'S quick-change die heads. Quick-change die
heads from other manufacturers do not guarantee a secure fit or damage the
die head holder (2) of the drive unit.
● Use only the original ROLLER'S support device – counter holder (3). Other-
wise there is a danger of the electric die stock being torn from the hand and
spinning round as the torque increases.
● Do not reach into the area of the motor (7), pressing and carrying handle
(6) and support device – counter holder (3) during operation. Only hold the
electric die stock by the motor handle (11). There is a risk of injury by trapping
fingers or hands.
● Check the power cable of the electric die stock and extension leads regu-
larly for damage. Have these renewed by qualified experts or an authorised
ROLLER customer service workshop in case of damage.
● ROLLER'S thread-cutting material in aerosol cans (ROLLER'S Smaragdol,
ROLLER'S Rubinol 2000) contains environmentally friendly but inflammable

force. Protect them against direct sunlight and temperatures above 50°C.
The aerosol cans can burst. Danger of injury.
● Only use approved and appropriate marked extension leads with a sufficient
cable cross-section at least with the protection class approved in 1.5.
Electrical data. Use extension leads up to a length of 10 m with cable cross-sec-
tion 1.5 mm², from 10 – 30 m with cable cross-section 2.5 mm².
● Children and persons who, due to their physical, sensory or mental abilities
or lack of experience and knowledge are unable to operate the electric die
stock safely may not use this electric die stock without supervision or
instruction by a responsible person. Otherwise there is a risk of operating
errors and injuries.
● Avoid intensive skin contact with the coolant-lubricant. These have a
degreasing effect. A skin protector with a greasing effect must be applied.
NOTICE
● Do not dispose of ROLLER'S thread-cutting material undiluted in the drain
system, ground water or ground. Unused thread-cutting material should be
handed in to responsible disposal companies. The waste code for thread-cutting
material containing mineral oil (ROLLER'S Smaragdol) is 54401, for synthetic
(ROLLER'S Rubinol) 54109. Observe the national regulations.
