Note:
There is a separate description for each one of the three different transmission systems.
Please follow the instructions relevant for your type of installation. The latter describe
the standard assembly procedure, without giving any details for special cases related to
particular objects.
2.1

Checking prior to assembly

If the following conditions are not fulfilled, the respective measures have to be taken before proceeding.
2.1.1

The door surroundings

- Is the access to the foreseen fixing points for the drive unit and the transmission system possible?
- Have the required power supply lines to the ASL drive unit as well as to the control and safety elements been
established according to the plan of installations for the respective object?
- Has the material for concealed mounting been installed?
2.1.2

The door

- Is the door equiped with a fixed stop piece for the OPEN position?
- The R20 belt drive system requires an adjustable door stop piece for the CLOSED position. Has it been installed?
- Is the door movement smooth and regular on the entire travelling distance?
- Can the door driver be fastened onto the door?
2.2

Assembly preparations

- Mount the EMS safety edging (optional) on the door, according to separate instructions "Instructions for
installation on site, EMS". Lead the connecting cable in the direction of the (customer-supplied) connector box
of the flexible power supply system.
- Remove the covering hood of the drive unit. In order to lift the hood off and to put it back on, pull it outward on one
side.
- Unwrap the material of the transmission system and of the options and lay it out ready for installation.
