•
If the discharge current and the discharge voltage need to be set, press the „Start/Enter" button. The discharge
current blinks.
•
Change the discharge current using the buttons „+>" and „
You can set a value between 0.1A and 1.0A.
•
Afterwards, the final discharge voltage blinks, which is also set with the buttons „+>" and „<-". Voltage values
between 0.1V and 25.0V are possible.
•
When setting the voltage value, make sure that the cell voltage for NiMH may not be below 1.0V, with NiCd not
below 0.85V.
•
Otherwise the accumulator may be damaged!
•
To begin the discharge process, keep the „Start/Enter" button pressed (approx. 3 seconds).
•
Now the display shows different information just like during the charge process (discharge time, discharge capa-
city, discharge current and current accumulator voltage).
•
If you press the button „Start/Enter" during the discharge process, the discharge current can be changed (see
above).
•
If the settings are wrong, or if the charger detects a problem, an audio signal is emitted and the appropriate infor-
mation is shown on the display.
•
You can stop the audio signal by pressing the „Batt Type/Stop" button. You then return to the previous configura-
tion menu.
•
Once the discharge process has been completed, an audio signal is emitted.
•
If you wish to terminate the discharge process beforehand, press the „Batt Type/Stop" button.
c) Cycle program („CyCle")
To test or refresh accumulators, you can perform up to 5 cycles in sequence. The two possible combinations are
„Charge/Discharge" („CHG>DCHG") and „Discharge/Charge" („DCHG>CHG").
In the basic settings, a brief cooling phase can be set between each cycle so as to prevent the battery from overhe-
ating.
•
After you have selected the „NiMH" or „NiCd" program in the main menu with the button „BattType/Stop" and con-
firmed this with the button „Start/Enter", you can select the cycle program using the button „+>" or „
