Ethernet / IP and Modbus TCP Interface
The optional Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP Module connects to the network via a standard Ethernet
patch cable. The module's address is set in software. The DIP switches are not used and must all
be set to OFF.
The RJ45 plug of the Ethernet cable can be connected directly to the RJ45 socket on the PCB for the
DIN and panel-mount enclosures. For the harsh and J-Box enclosures, the Ethernet cable must
enter through the 25mm gland. Use the supplied blue rubber grommet in the gland to maintain the
IP rating of the enclosure. The cable routing arrangement for the harsh enclosure is shown in Figure
2-66.
