Junction-Box Enclosures

In this version, from two to four individual load cell cables enter the enclosure and are terminated to
a summing board. An internal harness then connects from the summing board to the load cell input
of the IND131 terminal. To facilitate installation, the summing board is mounted to a removable
mounting bracket so that it can be removed from the side of the enclosure. This allows direct
access to the load cell termination terminal blocks on the summing board. These terminal blocks
are NOT removable.
2.4.2.3.1. Original Junction Box Enclosure
To provide better access to the summing board for wiring, cut the nylon wire tie that secures the
ferrite core of the internal harness to the back of the enclosure – the wire tie anchor is indicated in
Figure 2-40. Unplug the harness from the IND131 terminal.
Remove the IND131 terminal by pulling it up vertically and sliding it off the end of the DIN rail. This
provides better access to the summing board terminal blocks.
The holes in the summing board bracket are slotted so the assembly can be removed. Remove the
summing board by gently pushing the board and bracket assembly toward the bottom of the
enclosure where the glands are located, as shown in Figure 2-34.

Note for the standard four-wire cable: If an increase in load results in a decrease in weight
display, reverse the signal wires (+SIG and −SIG).
