When the range is exceeded (limits determined in the next chapter), the
following pictogram
indicates:

B.1.5 Starting (after powering on)

At powering on (insertion of the AA batteries or battery pack), the instrument
automatically starts functioning (loading of the software into memory). It is
recommended not to connect the instrument to any external circuits during
this period.
To avoid any signal conflicts, the instrument then enters measurement mode.

B.1.6 Operating modes

There are 5 main operating modes:
