6 Preparing the device for use

6.1 Assembly

The pressure sprayer with rechargeable battery is
dismantled before it is dispatched. It must be fully
reassembled again before it is used.
Connecting the rechargeable battery:
Ensure that the pump toggle switch (12) is set to
"O" (pump is switched off).
Flip down the back cushion (a).
Positive terminal: connect the red cable to the red
terminal on the rechargeable battery.
Negative terminal: connect the blue cable to the
black terminal on the rechargeable battery.
Check that the double plugs are securely
connected and that polarity is correct.
Fold the cushion back up again and attach it with
the two rivets (b) on top.
the rivet (b1) into the appropriate hole and then
press the inner pin (b2) firmly.
Assembly of the spray tube (10):
 The O-ring (16x3 mm) is used to provide a seal
between the spray tube (10) and the shut-off
valve (8). Manually tighten the union nut (a) on
the shut-off valve.
When your work is completed, the spray tube
should be fitted in the spray tube holder (5).

Firmly screw the nozzle attachment (11) with the
O-Ring (10x2 mm) hand-tight onto the spray tube.
Do not use any tools!
At the factory, a flat jet nozzle 03-F80 blue (a) is
assembled as the standard nozzle.
Delivery rate: See section 12
A filter element (b, part no.: 40 74 922 25, mesh
aperture: 0.8 mm [0.0315"]) is fitted in the elbow
piece upstream of the spray nozzle. The filter
minimises any dripping from the nozzle when the
shut-off valve is closed.
The pressure sprayer is equipped with a filling
strainer (3, mesh aperture: 1.65 mm [0.0650"], part
no.: 42 00 166 25] located in the filler neck of the
spraying agent tank.
Only the spray nozzles listed in section 12, the
above mentioned genuine filter elementand the
above mentioned genuine filling strainer must be
used in this pressure sprayer.

6.3 Charging the battery

Always switch off the pump when the charger is
connected.
The rechargeable battery needs to be charged
before you can use the pressure sprayer for the
first time.
Charging time:
At least 8 hours
Before charging, connect the battery as
described in section 6.1.
Connect the charging cable of the charger to
the charging socket (13) of the pressure sprayer.
Connect the adapter that suits the country specific
electrical socket to the charger.
Connect the charger to a suitable mains supply
system.
The charger automatically adapts to any AC
50/60 Hz mains voltage between 100 V and 240 V.
While the battery is charging, the LED on the
charger lights up red. Once the battery is fully
charged, the LED switches to green and charging
stops automatically. Over-charging of the battery is
prevented.
Once the charging process is finished, disconnect
the power plug from the socket and then
